Job summary

Idaho National Laboratory is seeking an Advanced Reactor Operator for the Materials & Fuels Complex (MFC). The role uses a 4x10 shift with every Friday off and rotating shifts during reactor testing at the MFC site.

Responsibilities include operating and maintaining facility equipment, recording data accurately, and contributing to procedure reviews. Candidates must demonstrate strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to obtain a DOE 'L' clearance (US citizenship).

Qualifications

• Level 2: HS/equivalent with 6+ years experience, or Associate with 2+ yrs, or ESTEC grad with 0 yrs, or B.S. in related field with 0 yrs.
• Level 3: HS/equivalent with 8+ yrs, or Associate/ESTEC grad with 4+ yrs, or Bachelor's with 2+ yrs.
• Level 4: HS/equivalent with 10+ yrs, or Associate/ESTEC grad with 6+ yrs, or Bachelor's with 4+ yrs.
• ALL Levels: Willing to work shift work; strong mechanical aptitude; able to pass technical exams; US Citizenship for L clearance

Responsibilities

• Operate and perform maintenance on facility equipment and systems.
• Maintain accurate records in logbooks and data packages.
• Review and provide input to procedures and modifications.
• Apply standard procedures for assigned tasks and experiments.
• Apply Human Performance Improvement tools where appropriate.
