SUMMARY OF POSITION:
This position in collaboration with the Advanced Practice Manager position provides clinical and administrative leadership, including but not limited to daily staff scheduling and coverage, chart audits, and overall quality of care monitoring for the division/department APRNs or to Advanced Practice Nursing and Physician Assistant practice within the Department of Medicine. Establishes relationships and partnership with APNs, PAs, departmental representatives, collaborating physicians, medical directors, department heads and organizational leaders to support and improve the practice, quality and outcomes of clinical care and regulatory compliance. Functions as a lead in the recruitment, retention, clinical practice, orientation, competency validation and professional development of the APNs and PAs within a specialty-specific area.
