Job summary

Mountain Youth Academy in Mountain City, Tennessee seeks a meticulous Lead Admissions Clinician to join our behavioral health team. You will conduct assessments, determine admission appropriateness, and coordinate referrals to ensure smooth onboarding for young patients.

Bachelor’s degree is required; Master’s degree preferred. Strong communication, organization, and confidentiality are essential in this role within UHS family of facilities.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and database systems.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments and evaluations of patients seeking behavioral health treatment.
  • Determine the appropriateness of admission based on presenting symptoms, clinical needs, level of care, and available hospital services.
  • Serve as a clinical resource for complex or high-risk referrals and admissions.
  • Assist with coordination of referrals, transfers, and admissions to ensure continuity of care.
  • Maintain accurate records in databases and filing systems.
  • Schedule interviews, tours, assessments, or appointments as needed.
  • Communicate admission decisions, next steps, and deadlines to applicants.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to ensure seamless onboarding/admission transitions.
  • Provide excellent customer service to applicants, families, and referral sources.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable regulations.
  • Prepare reports and track admissions data as requested.

Responsibilities

Mountain Youth Academyis nestled in Mountain City, Tennessee which is conveniently located near Johnson City, TN, Boone, NC, and Abingdon, VA. We are a 120-bed residential treatment facility and assist in the evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of a wide range of behavioral health issues for our young adolescent patients. We are seeking a meticulous and compassionate Lead Admissions Clinicianto join our team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments and evaluations of patients seeking behavioral health treatment.
