Curtiss-Wright Actuation Division seeks an Actuation Systems Engineer, Lead in Shelby, NC to develop electromechanical and hydromechanical actuation designs for flight control systems. You will manage system requirements (DO-178/DO-254) and support the development lifecycle from proposals to certification.

The role involves system architectures, simulations, and detailed documentation, with a focus on ensuring performance and compliance in aerospace applications.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field.
• Must be a US citizen or eligible for US clearance (text indicates US scope).
• 7-10 years of experience in actuation/system engineering.
• Strong interpersonal and team skills; proven problem solving ability.

Aufgaben

• Work within product development teams to support mechanical and electronic design from proposal through qualification.
• Develop and maintain system requirements database using IBM DOORS.
• Perform requirements capture, analysis, validation, and traceability across tiers.
• Develop subsystem architecture definitions based on functionality and performance.
• Create subsystem simulation models using Matlab/Simulink and Simscape for performance prediction.
• Generate documentation for proposals and development programs (subtier specs, subsystem descriptions, design reviews).
