Job summary

Berkshire Hathaway GUARD Insurance Companies in the U.S. seeks an Actuarial Pricing Leader to spearhead the commercial property pricing function, building pricing frameworks and partnering with underwriting, product, finance and claims to drive profitable growth.

AVP or VP level depending on experience; ACAS or FCAS required; 7–10+ years (AVP) or 10–15+ years (VP) of commercial property pricing leadership; strong leadership, portfolio management, and cross‑functional collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

• ACAS or FCAS required; FCAS strongly preferred.
• 7–10 years actuarial experience for AVP; 10–15+ years for VP with pricing leadership.
• Bachelor’s degree in actuarial science or related field.

Responsibilities

• Lead pricing analyses, portfolio monitoring, and profitability assessments for the commercial property line.
• Develop pricing recommendations and collaborate with underwriting, product, finance, and claims teams.
• Implement pricing frameworks, governance, reporting, and analytical tools.
• Manage projects and mentor actuarial staff.
