Job summary

Viera Del Mar Health and Rehabilitation Center is seeking an Activities Director who will design and run therapeutic and recreational activities to engage residents and foster community life. You will lead a talented team, manage budgets, and create meaningful programs that bring joy and connection to daily living.

The ideal candidate holds an ADC or CTRS certification, demonstrates long-term care experience, and is passionate about uplifting residents through innovative activities and strong

Qualifications

• Previous activities experience; SNF experience preferred, but training possible for a strong candidate.
• Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Therapeutic Recreation (or related field)
• At least 3 years of experience as an Activities Director or equivalent leadership experience
• CTRS certification (or related credential) preferred
• A genuine passion to uplift, motivate, and engage residents

Responsibilities

• Design and run therapeutic and recreational activities that get residents moving, laughing, and connecting
• Create individual and group programs that are both fun and purposeful
• Manage the recreation budget with smart, efficient, and impactful planning
• Lead, inspire, and supervise a strong team of assistants and volunteers
• Bring fresh, innovative ideas that elevate the resident experience every day
