Job summary

HID is seeking a Lead Accountant to reinforce the Global Accounting and Finance Shared Services team in Austin, TX. You will own complex reconciliations, month-end close, and variance analyses while applying IFRS policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance or related field; 7+ years of relevant experience, or Master’s with 5+ years.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, including IFRS 15/IFRS 16.
• Ability to read, interpret and apply accounting policies and procedures.
• Experience evaluating financial transactions and their impact.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with Oracle/OneStream or similar systems.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities to deadlines.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills; effective communicator.
• Ability to collaborate in a global team environment.
• CPA designation or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain account reconciliations per policy, escalate issues and propose solutions.
• Review contracts and vouchers for policy compliance.
• Analyze month-over-month and year-over-year variances and document drivers.
• Complete month-end close activities within two days and support reconciliations review.
• Apply IFRS 15/16 in evaluating transactions and financial impact.
• Prepare audit schedules and respond to audit requests with proper documentation.
• Support accounting activities and collaborate with the team on issues.
• Drive completion of special projects with multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Lead research into accounting issues and propose practical solutions.
• Retrieve and analyze financial data using Oracle, OneStream, Cubeware, Excel, etc.
