Southland Industries in Fort Worth, Texas is seeking a Lead Accountant to manage financial recordkeeping, reconcile accounts, and ensure GAAP compliance across departments.

This role partners with the Accounting Manager to oversee daily operations, prepare month-end and year-end reports, and drive process improvements.

The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's in Accounting/Finance, 7+ years of experience, and strong analytical, communication, and confidentiality skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent preferred.
• 7+ years of accounting experience preferred.
• Advanced accounting knowledge.
• Excellent organization skills with high level of attention to detail.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills; able to communicate across all levels.
• Must be analytical, innovative, and decisive; able to analyze and resolve complex issues.

Responsabilités

• Assist Accounting Manager to oversee and monitor daily operations of assigned areas ensuring accuracy and integrity of accounting systems and internal controls.
• Maintain knowledge of best practices, and current and proposed legislation and regulation; recommend changes to accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance and efficiency.
• Works with the accounting manager on appropriate fiscal strategies for the organization.
• Lead departmental projects to include change/implementation of new policies and procedures.
• Complete month-end and fiscal year-end financial reports.
• Reviews/completes analysis of complex accounting issues.
