Job summary

Knott Laboratory seeks a Senior Accident Reconstructionist to lead complex forensic investigations and provide expert analysis for litigation. The role requires deep technical expertise, strong analytics, and proven experience as an expert witness.

The Senior Accident Reconstructionist will independently manage high-profile cases, mentor junior staff, and collaborate with attorneys, clients, and internal teams to deliver clear, defensible findings.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10+ years in accident reconstruction.
• ACTAR accreditation required.
• Experience testifying in depositions and trials as an expert.

Responsibilities

• Lead advanced accident reconstructions and on-site investigations as needed.
• Evaluate scene data, vehicle inspections, EDR downloads, photos and statements.
• Determine causation, speeds and event sequences with engineering rigor.
• Develop defensible conclusions supported by data.
• Manage multiple complex cases with minimal oversight.
• Prepare expert reports and exhibits for litigation.
