Job summary

Union Colony Preparatory School is seeking a Head Middle School Boys Basketball Coach. This position offers an opportunity to build a program with a committed group of players.

The head coach must have substantial knowledge of the technical aspects of basketball and be a positive role model for student athletes. Reporting to the athletic director, you will work with high school principals and a staff of coaches to develop skills and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Has the ability to organize and supervise a total sports program.
• Has previous successful coaching or playing experience.
• The head coach must have substantial knowledge of the technical aspects of the sport.
• Must serve as an appropriate role model for student athletes through his/her instructions and actions.

Responsibilities

• Instruct athletes in the fundamental skills, strategy and physical training for success.
• Coordinate and supervise a staff of coaches with the athletic director and building principal.
• Report to the athletic director and high school principals.
• Lead by example to develop socially acceptable character, self-discipline, self-confidence and pride.
