Job summary

NorthState Aviation seeks a Lead Mechanic to supervise a team of mechanics and ensure timely, compliant maintenance on Boeing transport category aircraft. You will assess workload, issue job cards with Planners, maintain daily Lead assignment sheets and verify all maintenance entries in accordance with regulatory manuals.

The role requires 4+ years of Boeing maintenance experience, prior lead or supervisory duties, and an A&P license or Repairman’s certificate.

Qualifications

• Physical requirements for aircraft maintenance including lifting, climbing and sustained standing.
• Ability to read and understand complex instructions, diagrams and blueprints; strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Assign, assist, direct and approve work of Mechanics and lower classifications.
• Assess, prioritize and issue all routine and non-routine job cards with Planners; ensure return of cards.
• Complete and update daily Lead assignment sheets.
• Ensure maintenance entries on forms and work orders are completed.
• Represent lead role by signing work records for completed work when appropriate.
• Adhere to Repair Station & Quality Control Manuals and lead procedures for all mechanics supervised.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
• Read, understand and apply requirements of Repair Station & QC Manuals.
