Qualifications

  • Minimum of five years in a public safety communications center with at least two years in a supervisory or training capacity.
  • Knowledge of 911 center operations, call taking and dispatch procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Directs and manages the Training Department of York County 911, focusing on world class training.
  • Develops training programs in accordance with E911 requirements and certifications.
  • Monitors training activities to ensure needs are met and validates curriculum effectiveness.
  • Oversees CTO program and ensures staff knowledge on training benchmarks.
  • Coordinates with senior leadership to maintain training standards and budget adherence.
  • Organizes monthly and quarterly training presentations, meetings, and on‑the‑job training sessions.
  • Assists in hiring processes and maintains training records and state/county reporting.
