Globalstar Inc. in San Diego is seeking a Principal / Senior Staff Software Engineer for the 5G PHY domain. You will lead a high-performing team developing the next generation of high-throughput wireless systems.

You will architect, design, develop, and code major features, mentor the software team, and collaborate with systems, design and test groups to validate new 3GPP concepts. This is an on-site role requiring a strong background in C/C++, real-time Linux, and PHY development, with

Qualifications

10+ years of hands-on software development experience in C/C++.
7+ years of software/algorithm development for PHY (L1) 5G or LTE wireless systems.
5+ years experience developing software for real-time Linux systems.
Experience taking complex software from concept to finished, customer-ready products.
Strong mentoring and team leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

Lead a high-performing software team to design and implement next-generation high-throughput 5G NR components.
Architect, develop, and code major system features and ensure scalable performance.
Mentor engineers, improve development processes, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Integrate and validate novel 3GPP concepts with design and test groups.
