University of Nebraska–Lincoln Extension invites applications for an Extension Instructor or Open Rank Extension Educator - 4-H Youth Development serving Lincoln, Logan, and McPherson counties. The position is based in North Platte, NE and leads regional 4-H programming and youth development initiatives.

This twelve-month, non-tenure track role offers collaboration with specialists, support for student recruitment, and opportunities to contribute to teaching, outreach, and program development.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or progress toward Master’s degree in youth development, education, or related field.
• Experience teaching in formal or non-formal settings.
• Ability to communicate effectively via publications, presentations, web, and social media.
• Experience with youth and youth organizations and positive youth development.

Responsibilities

• Exemplifies professional behavior toward colleagues, clients, and partners.
• Develops and delivers proactive, engaging 4-H educational programs with wide reach.
• Establishes and sustains local and regional clientele and programming portfolios.
• Collaborates with Extension specialists to translate research into practice.
• Engages in collaborative teams to address community needs with measurable impact.
• Completes reporting requirements and participates in annual impact documentation.
