Job summary

Formlabs is seeking a 3D Print Optimization Engineer to advance the performance of SLA and SLS printing platforms. You will push hardware, software, and materials boundaries while collaborating across disciplines to speed, reliability, and accuracy of parts.

You will design experiments, perform root-cause analysis, and develop solutions that directly impact customer print quality. Applicants should be prepared to work across teams and own projects end-to-end.

Qualifications

• You have strong problem solving and experimental design skills across multiple disciplines.
• You communicate clearly and own your work from start to finish.
• You are comfortable working autonomously and learning new skills quickly.

Responsibilities

• Push the capabilities of our SLA & SLS 3D printing platforms.
• Drive root cause analysis across mechanics, fluid dynamics, software, chemistry, optics, electronics, thermodynamics, and customer behavior.
• Design efficient experiments to reveal underlying system behavior.
• Tackle multi-disciplinary problems and translate findings into actionable improvements.
• Develop and commercialize solutions that improve customer print performance.
