Job summary

Formlabs is seeking a 3D Print Optimization Engineer in Boston to push capabilities of SLA and SLS printing platforms and drive root-cause analyses across multiple disciplines. You will design experiments and develop solutions that measurably improve customer print performance, while maintaining a hands-on, autonomous approach and strong ownership.

The role requires a degree in science or engineering (B.S./M.S./PhD) and a passion for cross-disciplinary problem solving.

Qualifications

• B.S., M.S., or PhD in any science/engineering discipline (all are welcome).
• Hands-on, autonomous problem solver with a multi-disciplinary mindset.
• Customer-focused with strong ownership and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Push the capabilities of our SLA & SLS 3D printing platforms.
• Drive root cause analysis across mechanics, fluids, software, chemistry, optics, electronics, thermodynamics, and user behavior.
• Design efficient experiments to reveal underlying behavior in a complex system.
• Develop and commercialize solutions that improve customer print performance.
