Mob Entertainment, a startup multimedia studio best known for the indie horror game Poppy Playtime, is seeking a Lead 2D Artist to design environments, characters and assets while mentoring a team. You’ll work on the Poppy Playtime IP and other projects, delivering concept art through production and final polish, and helping to define visual styles and guidelines.

Qualifications

• Lead and mentor a group of 2D artists to grow their skills.
• Assist art director in establishing visual styles and guidelines for projects.
• 3+ years of experience leading a team of 2D artists.
• 5+ years of experience in 2D art for video games.
• Fluency in Photoshop; understanding of Unreal Engine and Perforce.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a group of 2D artists throughout project lifecycle.
• Create and iterate environments, characters and assets from concept through final polish.
• Collaborate with art director to establish visual styles and guidelines.
• Ensure artwork meets briefs, timescales and quality standards.
• Mentor juniors to improve skills and team cohesion.
