Job summary

Owens & Minor is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor for 1st shift in Arden, NC. You will coordinate and oversee receiving, warehousing and shipping operations, stepping in for the Warehouse Manager when needed. You will coach direct reports and drive safety, accuracy, and on-time delivery.

The role requires at least three years of warehouse leadership experience, a college degree preferred, and hands-on experience with material handling equipment. Full-time, day shift with overtime as necessary.

Qualifications

• College Degree strongly preferred
• Three years leadership experience in a warehouse setting
• Material handling equipment experience such as forklift and pallet jack

Responsibilities

• Analyzes and resolves work problems or assists teammates in solving work problems.
• Reviews bills of lading for incoming merchandise and customer orders to plan work activities.
• Prepares truck driver delivery schedules with Warehouse Manager and Lead Driver.
• Assigns teammates to duties and ensures accurate receiving, storage, and picking.
• Establishes work schedules and ensures they are implemented and completed.
• Supervises leads, teammates, and other supervisors as needed to complete warehouse functions.
• Screens and hires warehouse teammates; trains on safe operation of equipment.
• Enforces safety regulations and motivates workers to achieve goals.
• Performs performance reviews and personnel actions as needed.
• Suggests improvements to quality and efficiency; ensures compliance with DEA/OSHA regulations.
• Coordinates with non-warehouse departments to align activities.
• Retrieves and uses Windows-based reports for essential job activities.
• Performs additional duties as directed.
