Job summary

Areas USA is seeking a Lead at our Ft Pierce location to help drive store sales and Operations goals. You will supervise a shift, model our guest-first service and assist the Unit GM or Restaurant/Retail Manager in daily tasks to ensure a great guest experience.

As part of the Operations team, you will train new associates, monitor food preparation to company standards, and implement operational excellence.

Qualifications

  • Minimum high school diploma; some college preferred.
  • Experience in restaurant or fast-paced retail environments.
  • Strong guest service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Models a guest comes first attitude and delivers excellent guest service.
  • Reviews store environment to identify problems and coach shift.
  • Ensures food and products are prepared and served to recipes and standards.
  • Assist with training of new associates during shift.
  • Execute Operational Excellence to meet store objectives.
  • Maintain calm exterior during high volume and return to standard.
  • Communicates recommendations for improvement to management.
  • Execute Brilliant at the Basics GUEST program to standards.
  • Perform special projects and other responsibilities as assigned.

Position Title: Lead

Reports To: Unit General Manager or Retail/Restaurant Manager

Department: Operations

Status: Non-Exempt

Broad Functions:

The Lead contributes to the restaurant’s success by assisting the Unit General Manager and or the Restaurant/Retail Manager in executing store sales and operational goals. This job assists and supervises a team to create and maintain a good experience for our guests and shift members. The Lead is responsible for modeling and acting in accordance with Areas USA’s high standards and guiding principles in absence of the Concept Manager or Assistant Manager.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:
  1. 1. Models a “guest comes first” attitude, delivers excellent guest service, and supervisesshift employees to ensure they are delivering excellent guest service.
  2. 2. Constantly reviews store environment to identify problems, concerns, and opportunities for improvement, to provide coaching and direction to the shift, to achieve sales and operational goals.
  3. 3. Ensure that all food and products are consistently prepared and served according to the restaurant’s recipes, portioning, cooking and serving standards.
  4. 4. Assist with the training of new associates during shift creating a positive and productive working environment.
  5. 5. Execute Operational Excellence to achieve company objectives in terms of service, quality, appearance, sanitation and cleanliness of all areas of the store.
  6. 6. Maintains and models a calm exterior presence during periods of high volume or unusual eventsand moves on immediately after to keep store operating to standard and to set an example for the shift or team.
  7. 7. Communicates to management on any recommendations for improvement
  8. 8. Execute Brilliant at the Basics GUEST program to company standards.
  9. 9. Perform special projects and other responsibilities as assigned.
Skills and Qualifications:
  1. 1. One to two years of employment in a related position.
  2. 2. Minimum High School Diploma, some College preferred
  3. 3. Knowledge of the Restaurant environment.
  4. 4. Exceptional sales and operational skills in a guest service environment.
  5. 5. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  6. 6. Team-building and strong problem-solving skills.
  7. 7. Ability to use discretion in providing direction to others.
  8. 8. Ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment.
  9. 9. Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships.
  10. 10. Ability to act with a “guest comes first” attitude and deliver guest service that meets or exceeds guest expectations.
  11. 11. Ability to communicate and execute management directives.
  12. 12. May require knowledge of computer equipment or other technical devices or broad knowledge in several operational areas.
