Job summary

Northern NV Jobs in Fallon, NV is seeking a Leach Pad Operator to support the leaching operation safely and efficiently. The role involves complying with MSHA regulations, maintaining the leach pad, and coordinating with processing plant staff.

You will operate skid-loaders, dozers, forklifts, clean filter presses and E-cells, and assist across mine teams. Must be physically able to lift up to 50 pounds, work rotating day/night shifts, and wear required PPE.

Qualifications

• Strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills.
• Valid Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with MSHA and company safety regulations, policies and procedures.
• Inspect and maintain the leach pad daily, including managing ore under leach, ensuring proper flows and pressures.
• Cross-train with Process plant operators on both inside and outside positions.
• Operate small support equipment such as skid-loaders, dozers, forklifts, etc.
• Clean filter presses and E-cells as needed.
• Lift and carry up to 50 pounds throughout the shift, with or without assistance.
• Work on rough terrain; climb stairways, catwalks and pads.
• Assist elsewhere on the mine site (crushing/mining crews) as needed.
• Follow supervisor instructions; prioritize and adapt to changing schedules.

Job Summary

Support the leaching operation in a safe manner.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with and adherence to all MSHA and company safety regulations, policies and procedures
• Inspect and maintain the leach pad daily including putting new ore under leach, maintaining proper flows and pressures for all areas currently under leach etc.
• Cross-train with the Process plant operators on both the inside and outside positions
• Operate small support equipment, such as skid-loaders, dozers, forklifts, etc.
• Clean filter presses and the E- cells as needed
• Lifting and carrying equipment and materials up to 50 pounds throughout the work day with and without assistance
• Ensure compliance with all MSHA and company policies and procedures
• Other duties as assigned by the supervisor
• Self-motivated and ability to prioritize work and adaptable to changes in schedules, plans, etc.
• Work will be over rough terrain and involves climbing stairways, catwalks and pads

Requirements

Work Conditions

• Willingness to assist elsewhere on the mine site when needed such as the crushing crew and mining crew, etc
• Personal protective equipment is required when performing this work (safety shoes, hard hat, hearing protection, safety glasses, respirator, etc as needed)
