Avocet Hospitality Group's Le Moyne's Chophouse inside The Admiral Hotel in downtown Mobile is seeking a dependable Steward to join our culinary team. Wash, sanitize, and properly store dishes, assist with basic food prep, and help keep the kitchen organized.

This on-site role offers $15.00 per hour, paid time off, life insurance, 401(k) with company match, tuition assistance, wage access, and team discounts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred.
• Experience in a steward/dishwashing role is a plus.
• Attention to detail and reliability in a fast-paced kitchen.

Responsibilities

• Wash, sanitize, and store dishes, cookware, glassware, and utensils.
• Keep dish area and storage spaces clean and organized.
• Operate and maintain dishwashing equipment.
• Assist with receiving deliveries and basic food prep as needed.
• Remove trash and maintain a sanitary workspace.
• Support culinary team as needed.
• Work a flexible schedule including days/evenings/weekends/holidays.

What You’ll Do

• Wash, sanitize, and properly store dishes, cookware, glassware, and utensils
• Keep kitchen, dish area, and storage spaces clean and organized
• Operate and maintain dishwashing equipment
• Assist with receiving deliveries and basic food prep as needed
• Remove trash and maintain a safe, sanitary workspace
• Support the culinary team wherever needed
• Work a flexible schedule, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays

What We’re Looking For

• High school diploma preferred
• Previous steward or dishwashing experience preferred
• Strong work ethic and attention to detail
• Ability to follow directions and work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen
• Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented

Physical Requirements

• Stand and walk for extended periods
• Frequently bend, reach, lift, push, and pull (30+ lbs.)
• Work safely in a hot, fast-paced kitchen environment
