Job summary

HCA Florida Memorial Hospital is seeking a Labor, Delivery, Recovery, Postpartum (LDRP) Registered Nurse (RN) to assess and manage care for laboring mothers and newborns. You will collaborate with the care team to optimize outcomes and contribute to nursing governance and continuous improvement.

The role is full-time, night shift (12 hours, approx. 7:00 PM–7:00 AM) with rotating weekends/holidays. A strong preference for L&D experience and active RN licensure in Florida.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate from an accredited school of Nursing (Associate's Degree in Nursing or higher).
• Must be licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state you practice and/or hold an active Compact/Multi-State RN license.
• Current BLS/ACLS Healthcare Provider certification required.
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) required within 6 months of hire/transfer.
• Previous L&D RN experience preferred; if none, at least 1 year hospital/acute care RN experience.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate care for laboring moms and newborns.
• Collaborate with the health care team to protect and promote health and prevent illness.
• Provide age-appropriate nursing care based on patient needs and safety criteria.
• Participate in Shared Governance, unit meetings, surveys, and communications.
• Consider safety, effectiveness, cost and impact on nursing practice in care planning.
