Job summary

HPC-Industrial, powered by Clean Harbors, in Joliet, IL, is seeking an LDAR Technician to join its safety‑driven team. The role involves monitoring process equipment for emissions, calibrating analyzers, and identifying leaks on an assigned route within an industrial facility.

Responsibilities include data uploads, report generation, and coordination with plant personnel. We value reliability, teamwork, and a willingness to work flexible hours in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Strong communication (written, verbal and listening)
• Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving abilities a plus
• Prior experience in chemical plants or refineries is helpful, but not necessary
• Willing to work at moderate to high physical exertion for extended periods
• Willing to work in inclement weather (extreme heat/cold)
• Willing to work extended hours and weekends when necessary

Responsibilities

• Operate a portable analyzer and electronic data recorder
• Monitor components on an assigned route to detect emissions
• Calibrate equipment to ensure optimum analyzer performance
• Identify leaks and apply process leak tags
• Upload daily monitoring data to the customer database and prepare emissions reports
• Communicate equipment changes with office personnel and plant staff
• Perform other duties as assigned
