Job summary

Insight Environmental in Watford City, ND seeks an Environmental Technician to inspect sites for compliance, monitor emissions, and support LDAR programs. Ideal candidates may have related experience and a willingness to learn.

You will perform inspections, operate air monitoring equipment, manage LDAR data in LeakDAS, and assist in reporting while maintaining safety and integrity on outdoor sites in various weather conditions.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; Associate's or Bachelor's preferred.
• Knowledge of environmental compliance requirements (40 CFR Part 60) and LDAR rules.
• Experience reading P&IDs and troubleshooting instrumentation.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with peers and clients.
• Proficient with Word and Excel; ability to learn environmental databases.

Responsibilities

• Perform environmental compliance inspections at oil refinery using air monitoring equipment and data collectors.
• Supervise and perform environmental inspection, monitoring and testing.
• LDAR inspections using a flame ionization detector (FID).
• Maintain environmental database (LeakDAS) and LDAR components records.
• Prepare and submit periodic reports and maintenance work orders.
• Perform optical gas imaging inspections and participate in safety meetings.
• Assist in travel to other company offices and job sites as needed.
