Job summary

Insight Environmental in Rosemount, MN is hiring an Environmental Technician for a full-time, in-person role. You will assist clients in meeting compliance standards by inspecting sites, monitoring equipment, and maintaining safety. Experience is beneficial but not required; training is provided.

The position includes benefits such as health, life, vision, dental, and a 401k plan. Pay is $22.00–$24.00 per hour with a 40-hour week and minimal overtime.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma; Associates or Bachelors degree preferred.
• Ability to acquire quickly knowledge of environmental compliance requirements (40 CFR Part 60) and state rules related to LDAR.
• Experience reading P&IDs and troubleshooting instrumentation.
• Excellent interpersonal skills; proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Perform environmental compliance inspections at facilities using air monitoring equipment and data collectors.
• Supervise and perform environmental inspection, monitoring and testing.
• LDAR inspections using a flame ionization detector (FID).
• Manage environmental database and maintain LDAR component records.
• Generate maintenance work orders and prepare periodic reports.
• Perform optical gas imaging inspections.
• Attend weekly compliance and safety meetings.
