Job summary

Insight Environmental, Inc. is seeking an Environmental Technician in Dickinson, ND. The role involves inspecting and monitoring sites to help clients meet compliance standards, with safety and integrity as core priorities.

Experience is not required, but familiarity with LDAR programs and environmental regulations is a plus. This is a full-time position with benefits including health, dental, vision, 401k, and paid time off.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma; associate or bachelor0degree preferred.
• Knowledge of 40 CFR Part 60 and state LDAR rules.
• Experience reading P&IDs.
• Experience troubleshooting instrumentation.
• Proficient with Word and Excel.
• Valid driver0s license and ability to travel between offices and sites.
• Ability to work at heights up to 200 ft and outdoors in all weather.
• Ability to climb towers and carry tools/equipment (50 lbs).

Responsibilities

• Perform environmental compliance inspections at an oil refinery using air monitoring equipment and data collectors.
• Supervise and perform environmental inspection, monitoring and testing.
• LDAR inspections using a flame ionization detector (FID).
• Manage environmental database (LeakDAS).
• Maintain identification of LDAR components and piping/diagrams.
• Maintain record keeping on monitoring.
• Generate maintenance work orders.
• Prepare and submit periodic reports.
• Perform optical gas imaging inspections.
• Participate in weekly compliance and safety meetings.
• Other duties as assigned.
