LDAR Field Technician – Part‑time / On‑call

Compensation: $23 to $26 per hour (commensurate with experience, skills, and geographic location).

A day in the life: Perform inspections on a variety of facilities in the Oil and Gas industry to identify and quantify hydrocarbon gas leaks and vents.

Responsibilities

• Assist in coordinating and navigating to facilities with maps and GPS.


• Help calibrate and maintain instruments.


• Operate detection and measurement technologies under the supervision of the team lead.


• Collect and record emission data.


• Prepare field reports as required.

Qualifications

• Experience in the Oil and Gas industry (preference for natural gas processing/transmission facility experience).


• Effective computer skills – proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office is essential, and experience with Android OS.


• Ability to work part‑time/on‑call schedule.


• Valid driver’s license.


• Preference for associate or bachelor’s degree in engineering technology or a related technical degree/diploma; related work experience in hydrocarbon detection and measurement, LDAR, instrumentation or stack emission testing, or a mechanical background is also preferred.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

• Walk and stand while handling and carrying technical equipment for extended periods.


• Occasional work at heights in a safe manner.


• Lift up to 50 lbs unassisted.


• Work outside in all weather conditions.


• Climb ladders and stairs as needed.
