Job summary

Onterris is seeking a Senior LDAR Field Technician for a part-time/on-call role in the Oil and Gas industry. You will perform inspections at various facilities, identify hydrocarbon leaks, and document findings with accuracy and safety in mind.

Responsibilities include leading field inspections or working independently, coordinating visits with GPS/maps, calibrating equipment, and recording emission data. A strong safety mindset is essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

  • Intermediate Oil & Gas industry experience preferred.
  • Proficiency with Excel and Microsoft Office; Android OS familiarity.
  • Valid driver’s license required.

A Day in the Life

As a Senior LDAR Field Technician, you’ll be responsible for performing inspections on various types of facilities in the Oil and Gas Industry to identify and quantify hydrocarbon gas leaks and vents. This is a part-time/ on-call position.

The compensation range for this role is $23-$26/hr, commensurate with experience, skills, and geographic location.

Responsibilities
  • Assisting in coordinating and navigating to various facilities with maps and GPS
  • Perform and document field inspections as a leader of a team and/or independently accurately, safely and efficiently
  • Assist in safety meetings and be a leader in the safety culture
  • Helping to calibrate and maintain equipment
  • Using various detection and measurement technologies under the supervision of the Team Lead
  • Collecting and recording emission data
  • Preparing field reports as required
Your Expertise and Skills
  • Intermediate experience in Oil and Gas industry (preference given to candidates with natural gas processing/transmission facility experience)
  • Effective computer skills (Excel and Microsoft Office are essential) and proficiency with Android OS
  • Ability to work part-time/on-call schedule
  • Valid driver's license
  • Preference will be given to candidates with an associate or bachelor's degree in engineering technology or applicable technical degree/diploma; related work experience in hydrocarbon detection and measurement, LDAR, instrumentation or stack emission testing or a mechanical background are also preferred, but not required
Work Environment and Physical Requirements
  • Ability to walk and/or stand while handling/carrying various technical equipment for extended periods of time
  • Comfortable occasionally working at heights in a safe manner
  • Ability to lift 50lbs unassisted
  • Comfortable working outside in all-weather elements
  • Ability to climb ladders and stairs
  • Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen and background check
