Job summary

Altasciences is seeking a Scientist, LC-MS/MS in Bioanalysis to join our Columbia team. You will lead the development and validation of cutting-edge LC-MS/MS assays for preclinical and clinical studies, while ensuring GLP compliance and robust data quality.

The role includes project management, client collaboration, and mentorship of lab staff. The ideal candidate holds a degree in chemistry/biology/pharmaceutical science with hands-on LC-MS/MS experience and strong communication skills to

Qualifications

• Bachelor/Master/PhD in chemistry, biology or pharmaceutical science with hands-on laboratory experience.
• Experience with LC-MS/MS methods and bioanalytical workflows is preferred.
• Strong documentation, GLP awareness and data integrity knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and validation of LC-MS/MS assays for preclinical and clinical studies.
• Analyze study samples to support toxicology and biology endpoints.
• Maintain GLP compliance and thorough documentation.
• Manage project timelines and coordinate study phases to ensure timely delivery.
• Collaborate with clients and act as a scientific advisor on study and assay design.
• Participate in method validation and qualification of new and existing assays.
• Supervise and mentor laboratory staff to foster excellence.

What You'll Need To Succeed

• Supervisory Skills: While previous supervisory experience is a plus, we welcome candidates who are eager to step into leadership roles and make a difference in our dynamic team environment.
