Job summary

Altasciences Preclinical Columbia is seeking a scientific leader to join our team on the frontlines of discovery. Lead method development, validate LC-MS/MS assays, and contribute to preclinical and clinical study support.

You will supervise lab staff, ensure GLP compliance, collaborate with clients, manage timelines, and stay current with innovative methodologies in a collaborative, patient-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in chemistry, biology, or pharmaceutical science with hands-on lab experience.
• Willingness to step into leadership roles; prior supervising is a plus.
• Proficient with LIMS and electronic notebooks; strong data management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communications; able to engage with clients.

Responsibilities

• Develop and validate LC-MS/MS assays for preclinical and clinical studies.
• Analyze study samples with precision to support toxicology endpoints.
• Ensure GLP compliance and meticulous documentation.
• Manage project timelines and coordinate with stakeholders.
• Collaborate with clients to design studies and assays.
• Contribute to method validation and qualification efforts.

What You'll Need To Succeed

• Advanced Expertise: Whether you hold a Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in chemistry, biology or pharmaceutical science, you'll bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to the table, backed by years of hands‑on experience in the field.
• Supervisory Skills: While previous supervisory experience is a plus, we welcome candidates who are eager to step into leadership roles and make a difference in our dynamic team environment.
• Technological Savvy: From advanced computer skills to familiarity with LIMS and electronic notebooks, you'll leverage the latest tools and technologies to drive innovation and efficiency.
• Communication Mastery: Your ability to communicate complex scientific concepts with clarity and precision will be essential as you collaborate with colleagues and engage with clients.
