Job summary

Altasciences Preclinical Columbia LLC is seeking scientists to join the frontlines of discovery and preclinical evaluation. You will lead LC-MS/MS method development, validate analytical assays, and ensure GLP-compliant study execution with meticulous documentation.

Responsibilities include coordinating with clients, mentoring staff, and driving timely delivery of high-quality data. A science background with leadership potential is required.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in chemistry, biology or pharmaceutical science with hands-on experience.
• Supervisory experience is a plus; leadership potential welcomed.
• Proficiency with laboratory information management systems and electronic notebooks.
• Excellent communication of complex scientific concepts to clients and colleagues.
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and validation of LC-MS/MS assays for preclinical and clinical study support.
• Perform study sample analysis focusing on toxicological and biological endpoints.
• Ensure GLP compliance and meticulous documentation throughout study work.
• Manage project timelines and coordinate with clients on study design and results.
• Mentor laboratory staff and provide scientific guidance to the team.
• Contribute to method validation and qualification efforts.

What You'll Need To Succeed

• Advanced Expertise: Whether you hold a Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in chemistry, biology or pharmaceutical science, you'll bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to the table, backed by years of hands‑on experience in the field.
• Supervisory Skills: While previous supervisory experience is a plus, we welcome candidates who are eager to step into leadership roles and make a difference in our dynamic team environment.
• Technological Savvy: From advanced computer skills to familiarity with LIMS and electronic notebooks, you'll leverage the latest tools and technologies to drive innovation and efficiency.
