Job summary

Olympia Moving & Storage is hiring a Driver/Mover in Watertown, MA. This full-time role includes operating a 26 ft box truck, loading/unloading heavy items, and ensuring safety and accuracy in shipments.

A valid driver’s license and DOT card (if applicable) are required, with a clean driving record and flexible availability including early mornings. We offer uniforms, comprehensive health and dental plans, a 401K with generous company match, paid holidays, vacation, and a sign-on bonus.

Qualifications

• Must have valid driver’s license and DOT card (if applicable).
• Clean motor vehicle driving record and knowledge of area roads.
• Experience driving a 26 ft box truck; able to complete logs and inspections.
• Must be 18+ years old and able to work a flexible schedule including early mornings.
• Must be a team player with reliability and professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Move and disassemble/reassemble furniture and appliances.
• Load and unload large items to/from trucks and safely load shipments.
• Pack smaller items securely into boxes while protecting fragile goods.
• Unpack items and arrange spaces per customer specifications.
• Maintain vehicle equipment and perform routine safety checks and fuel/tank operations.
• Follow state and national safety regulations.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS-DRIVER/MOVER

• Hourly rate: $22.00-$26.00 per hour (with opportunity for tips and overtime)
• Annual Potential: $55,000 - $75,000 per year (including overtime, referral incentives, bonuses, and tips) with $1,800.00 sign on bonus opportunity
• Full time and Flexible schedule - Tell us when you are available-Day, Night and Weekend work opportunities.

Requirements:

• Valid driver's License (for driver position) and DOT Card (if applicable)
• Clean motor vehicle driving record
• Knowledge of area roads and neighborhoods
• Ability and prior experience driving 26 ft box truck-complete logs and inspections
• Must be able to complete all training and requirements to qualify as Olympia driver
• Must be at least 18 years old
• Must have reliable transportation to branch location for on time arrival
• Reliable and punctual with dedicated professionalism to job and duties
• Must have authorization to work in the United States for any employer
• Must be willing to undergo a criminal background investigation
• Above average energy, attention to detail, and organization skills
• Ability to lift 50-75+ pounds regularly
• Ability to be on your feet 6 to 10 hours a day
• Must be a team player and ready to tackle any challenge
• Available for on-time very early a.m. dispatch-(ie: 4:30 a.m. starts) and able to arrive on time
• High school or GED equivalent

Responsibilities:
