Job summary

Olympia Moving & Storage in Thorofare, NJ is seeking a dedicated mover to join our transportation team. The role involves loading and unloading, disassembly and reassembly of furniture, and safe handling of shipments for customers. The position is full-time with flexible day, night and weekend opportunities.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license and DOT card if applicable.
• Clean driving record and safe driving history.
• Knowledge of local roads and neighborhoods.
• Experience driving 26 ft box trucks and completing logs/inspections.
• Must be able to pass Olympia driver training.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Reliable transportation to branch location.
• Available for early morning dispatch (e.g., 4:30 a.m.).
• High school diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Move, disassemble/reassemble furniture and appliances.
• Load/unload large items to/from trucks and secure cargo.
• Pack smaller items safely; protect fragile goods.
• Unpack and arrange spaces per customer specifications.
• Maintain vehicle equipment and perform basic inspections.
• Follow all safety regulations.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS-DRIVER/MOVER

Hourly rate: $20.00-$24.00 per hour depending on experience (with opportunity for tips and overtime)

Annual Potential: $35,000 - $55,000 per year (including overtime, referral incentives, bonuses, and tips) with $1,800.00 sign on bonus opportunity

Requirements

• Valid driver's License (for driver position) and DOT Card (if applicable)
• Clean motor vehicle driving record
• Knowledge of area roads and neighborhoods
• Ability and prior experience driving 26 ft box truck-complete logs and inspections
• Must be able to complete all training and requirements to qualify as Olympia driver
• Must be at least 18 years old
• Must have reliable transportation to branch location for on time arrival
• Reliable and punctual with dedicated professionalism to job and duties
• Must have authorization to work in the United States for any employer
• Must be willing to undergo a criminal background investigation
• Above average energy, attention to detail, and organization skills
• Ability to lift 50-75+ pounds regularly
• Ability to be on your feet 6 to 10 hours a day
• Must be a team player and ready to tackle any challenge
• Available for on-time very early a.m. dispatch-(ie: 4:30 a.m. starts) and able to arrive on time
• High school or GED equivalent

Responsibilities

• Move as well as disassemble and reassemble furniture and appliances
• Load and unload large items to and from trucks, as well as safely load shipments to trucks legal capacity
• Efficiently pack smaller items into boxes, taking care to protect fragile goods
• Unpack items and arrange new spaces for use according to customer specification
• Maintain vehicle equipment; fill fuel tank, perform general motor vehicle inspections and maintenance as needed for safety thru company app
• Follow all state and national safety regulations and standards
