Wesley Theological Seminary invites artists to join the Henry Luce III Center for the Arts and Religion Artist-In-Residence (A-I-R) program. The residency supports theological education through arts, with on-campus resources and an ecumenical community near Washington, DC.
Residencies range from 2 weeks to 1 year, with rolling deadlines. Stipend starts at $1,000 and on-campus housing may be available for out-of-state artists.
The Henry Luce III Center for the Arts and Religion (LCAR) Artist‑In‑Residence (A‑I‑R) Program seeks to integrate the arts into theological education and, consequently, into the life of the church. Artists are given the opportunity to create in an environment rich in theological understanding, open to diverse languages of the senses, and committed to collaboration with scholars and students.

Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis; residencies are scheduled months to a year in advance.
Residency length: minimum 2 weeks – maximum 1 year.
