Eagle Analytical is seeking a Project Chemist in Houston to support routine LC-MS–based analysis in a fast-paced laboratory. You will perform LC-MS/MS workflows, prepare samples, operate instruments, review data, and document results with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in chemistry, analytical chemistry, biochemistry, or related field.
  • Hands-on LC-MS/MS instrumentation and workflows experience.
  • Mass spectrometry-based protein/peptide characterization experience preferred.
  • LC-MS/MS quantitation using MRM and/or SIR modes preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine LC-MS-based assays (peptide mapping, intact mass, protein/small molecule quantitation).
  • Prepare samples, standards, mobile phases, buffers, and solutions.
  • Operate and maintain LC-MS/MS and HPLC/UHPLC systems per SOPs.
  • Conduct routine analytical runs and monitor instrument performance.
  • Review, organize, and document analytical data and records.
  • Identify unexpected results and provide initial troubleshooting.
  • Perform system suitability, calibration, and QC checks.
  • Troubleshoot basic instrument and method issues.
  • Maintain laboratory cleanliness, inventory, and organization.
  • Support method optimization and validation activities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional team to meet timelines.
