Job summary

Radeas in Wake Forest, NC is seeking an LC MS/MS Certifying Scientist to perform routine data analysis and limited bench work across a broad spectrum of clinical and analytic tests. The role is desk-based with potential occasional office tasks.

You will interpret raw LC-MS/MS data, enter results into templates, review patient information for accuracy, and provide testing consultations while upholding safety and quality controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with Major in a Laboratory Science: Biology or Chemistry preferred.
• If degree is in a Science other than Biology or Chemistry, must have the following credits completed in coursework:
• 48 hours of science courses or MLS/MLT:
• 24 credit hours of Lab Science

Responsibilities

• Duties include but are not limited to:
• Testing Analysis: Interpret raw data from the LC-MS/MS in order to determine results for each patient.
• Reporting Results: Enters patients result into report templates and checks templates, patient demographics, and results for errors and inconsistencies.
• Reviewing Reports: Reviews test results confirmed by other analysts to ensure accuracy of patient records
• Customer Service: Provide consultation regarding the appropriateness of testing ordered and the interpretation of test results
• Testing: Manipulate potentially hazardous human specimens/samples and analytic reagents in a safe and responsible manner within the laboratory setting
• Safety: Follow all safety procedures and maintain safety equipment, as needed
• Proficiency Testing: Performs proficiency testing whether through an approved program or intra-office.
• Trouble-Shooting: Assess potential problems that may arise in performance of testing and initiate appropriate action
• Quality Control: Adhere to the laboratory's quality control policies and periodically assess procedures and identify problems that may adversely affect test performance
• Continuing Education: Participate in regular in-service training and appropriate education on laboratory safety and testing procedures
• Remains current on lab standard operating procedures
• Requests and documents reruns from QC's or patient samples when raw data is unacceptable
• Conduct statistical analyses and evaluate test results relative to specimen/sample information and established reference materials
• Contribute with processing data for split sample event(s) as needed
• Assist, contribute or lead special projects as needed to support team members
