Job summary

Metabolon is seeking an experienced data analysis professional with strong LC-MS and chromatography expertise for a hybrid role in RTP, NC. The position emphasizes thorough data analysis, quality control, and adapting to proprietary software to deliver accurate insights and support growth.

The role includes troubleshooting LC-MS data, validating peak integrations, and contributing to automated data curation systems and metabolite library expansion as part of our R&D initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in physical sciences or related STEM field.
• 2+ years of data analysis experience preferred.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to learn and adapt to new software tools.

Responsibilities

• Analyze LC-MS and LC-MSMS data to assess the presence, absence, and potential interferences of over 5,000 metabolites.
• Generate automation ideas and maintain deep understanding of mass spectrometry data.
• Troubleshoot data acquisition issues from LC-MS instruments to protect data quality.
• Verify and adjust chromatographic peak integrations for accuracy.
• Contribute to development opportunities, including expanding the chemical library and automating data curation.
• Integrate peak data for targeted analysis projects and support R&D initiatives.
