Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher from a regionally accredited institution.
• Valid teaching license issued by the Illinois State Board of Education, with LBS1 endorsement.
• Completion of CPS online application and teaching profile.

Responsibilities

• Instruct, monitor progress, track and discipline students in assigned classes.
• Collaborate with case managers, counselors and general education teachers to determine instructional and social needs.
• Maintain a respectful classroom culture and manage student behaviors and procedures.
• Apply CPS Framework for Teaching with a focus on content, pedagogy and student knowledge, and use technology as available.
