Job summary

LSG Sky Chefs in Los Angeles is hiring full-time team players to prepare products for airline, e-commerce and retail customers. The position pays $25.00 per hour, up to $32.65 with union dues after 14 days and a comprehensive benefits package after 30 days.

Candidates must be available seven days a week and able to work in a fast-paced environment; duties include cleaning, sanitation, and using floor machines. 18+ and eligible to work in the US required.

Qualifications

• Must be able to walk/stand for full shift and lift 50 lbs.
• Be able to pass a background check and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for using floor machine and cleaning work areas, floors, walls, bathrooms, offices, coolers, freezers, ramp and equipment.
• Clean kitchen tools, equipment trays, pots and pans.
• Empty trash around the building; handling international trash.
• Maintain sanitation standards per Company policy and USDA/FDA/HACCP regulations.

Duties / Responsibilities:

• Responsible for using floor machine and cleaning work areas, floors, walls, bathrooms, offices, coolers, freezers, ramp and equipment.
• Also responsible for cleaning kitchen tools, equipment trays, pots and pans.
• Empty trash around the building. International garbage handling.
• Must maintain sanitation standards in accordance with Company policy and USDA/FDA/HACCP regulations.

Sterilizer (International Trash) Autoclave Assigned to dedicated departments

Job Skills or Qualifications:

• Must have good attendance
• Must be able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

• Must be able to walk/stoop/bend/stand for entire shift
• Must be able to use fingers & hands to handle equipment.
• Must have the ability to push in excess of 70 lbs. and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to work around moving parts & wet floors
• Must be able to work in a hot, cold and wet environment
• Must be able to work with cleaning and sanitizing chemicals.
• Be 18 years of age and eligible to work in the United States
• Pass a background check and clear a drug screen
• Be able to stand for the full duration of the shift
• Be available to work in a 38-degree cold room, only when necessary
• Be a team player and work well with a diverse team from all over the world!
• Ability to comprehend verbal & written specifications in English
• Possess basic math skills
• MUST be able to work a flexible schedule; This is a 24-hour operation, 7 days a week
• Additional eligibility requirements and details: This is a Union Position - must be willing to pay union dues after 14 days. Must be available to work a full-time position, including Weekends and Holidays as needed. Must be able to complete the application/orientation process in English. Ability to lift 25+ pounds occasionally, 50+ pounds frequently & 10+ pounds consistently, Bend / stoop & twist repeatedly & stand for 8 – 12 hours a day
