Position Summary

In this full-time, onsite role in Newark, OH, you will lead and support daily lawn maintenance activities, ensuring properties are maintained to a high standard of cleanliness, safety, and professionalism. You will work as part of a team while taking ownership of assigned duties and leading crew efforts to complete work efficiently and accurately.

As a Crew Lead, you’ll help coordinate tasks, maintain a strong work pace, and represent the company with a positive attitude and dependable communication throughout each job.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead or assist with routine lawn maintenance tasks such as mowing, trimming, edging, and general landscape upkeep.

• Coordinate crew workflow on-site to ensure job tasks are completed correctly, on time, and to quality expectations.

• Perform basic equipment care and safe operation of company tools and machinery used for lawn and landscape maintenance.

• Inspect completed work areas for cleanliness and adherence to established appearance standards.

• Communicate professionally with team members and, when applicable, clients to confirm job needs and updates.

Required Qualifications

• Ability to work onsite full-time in Newark, OH and perform outdoor physical work in varying weather conditions.

• Experience performing lawn maintenance tasks (or comparable hands-on outdoor landscape work).

• Reliable, punctual, and able to follow safety procedures while operating equipment and tools.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing consistent, clean results.

• Willingness to take direction and step into a leadership role for day-to-day crew execution.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior crew lead or supervisory experience in groundskeeping, landscaping, or a related field.

• Familiarity with basic landscape care practices and seasonal maintenance expectations.

• Demonstrated ability to train or guide others while maintaining productivity and quality.

Compensation

Hourly rate: $20 - $30 based on experience.
