Job summary

Great Oaks Landscape Associates, Inc. in Ferndale, MI is hiring a landscape maintenance lead. The role involves supervising crews, performing lawn care, and safely operating a range of landscape equipment.

We expect 2-3 years in landscape or related fields, a valid chauffeur's license, and a medical cert. Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus; full-time on-site work with opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2-3 years of landscape, construction, or grounds maintenance experience.
• Capable of operating required equipment safely (zero turn mowers & walk-behinds).
• Strong time-management skills.
• Valid Chauffeur's License and Medical Certification required.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead lawn maintenance crews and be responsible for their work.
• Cut grass, trim edges, blow trimmings, and perform lawn care duties.
• Operate power equipment including mowers, trimmers, blowers, hedge trimmers, saws, sod cutters, chainsaws, snow blowers.
• Assist in loading/unloading and daily inspections of trucks and trailers.
• Comply with company policies and local health and safety regulations.
• Communicate with customers in a polite and courteous manner.

Job description

• Ability to be responsible and lead lawn maintenance crews.
• Cut grass, trim edges, blow trimmings, weeding, landscaping & perform other lawn care duties.
• Operate power equipment including, lawn tractors, lawn mowers, line trimmers, blowers, hedge trimmers, pruning saws, sod cutters, chain saws, snow blowers and other landscape maintenance equipment.
• Aid in the loading/unloading and daily inspections of trucks and trailers in the AM/PM
• Comply with all company policies and regulations in accordance with all local health and safety laws and regulation.
• Communicate with customers in a polite and courteous manner

Starting Hourly Wage: $22.00+
