Job summary

Great Oaks Landscape Associates is seeking a hands-on crew leader to oversee lawn maintenance teams in Ferndale, MI. You will cut, trim, blow, weed, and perform landscaping tasks while operating a range of equipment and ensuring daily truck/ trailer checks.

A valid driver’s license and safety certifications are required. This role offers full-time hours with seasonal overtime and opportunities for growth within a growth-focused landscape company.

Qualifications

• Good work ethic and the ability to work well with the crew - a team player.
• Minimum 2-3 years of experience in the landscape, construction, grounds maintenance industry.
• Capable of operating required equipment (zero turn mowers & walk-behinds) & landscaping tools in a safe/responsible manner.
• Time management skills.
• Knowledge of specific materials, methods, tools & equipment required to complete various lawn maintenance tasks.
• A valid Chauffeur's License & Medical Certification required
• Bilingual Skills (English/Spanish) is a plus

Responsibilities

• Lead lawn maintenance crews and be responsible for on-site coordination.
• Cut grass, trim edges, blow trimmings, weeding, landscaping & perform other lawn care tasks.
• Operate power equipment including lawn tractors, mowers, trimmers, blowers, hedge trimmers, saws, sod cutters, chainsaws, snow blowers and other landscape equipment.
• Aid in loading/unloading and daily inspections of trucks and trailers in the AM/PM.
• Comply with company policies and health and safety regulations.
• Communicate with customers in a polite and courteous manner

Job description

Starting Hourly Wage: $22.00+

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Ability to be responsible and lead lawn maintenance crews.


• Cut grass, trim edges, blow trimmings, weeding, landscaping & perform other lawn care duties.


• Operate power equipment including, lawn tractors, lawn mowers, line trimmers, blowers, hedge trimmers, pruning saws, sod cutters, chain saws, snow blowers and other landscape maintenance equipment.


• Aid in the loading/unloading and daily inspections of trucks and trailers in the AM/PM


• Comply with all company policies and regulations in accordance with all local health and safety laws and regulation.


• Communicate with customers in a polite and courteous manner
