Job summary

Clayton is hiring a Turf & Grass Technician I to maintain the Clayton Campus grounds, including the Home Office and associated properties. This part-time role (20-25 hours per week) runs Monday–Friday between 7am–5pm and requires basic lawn maintenance knowledge and the ability to handle fertilizers and pesticides under supervision.

The position involves operating mowers and grounds equipment, performing routine maintenance, and assisting with outdoor event setups. Driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of lawn maintenance or ability to learn.
• Basic knowledge of fertilizers, insecticides, and fungicides or ability to learn.
• Basic knowledge of operation of mowers and groundskeeping machinery or ability to learn.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Maintains campus lawns: trimming, pruning, edging, mowing, weeding.
• Meets application of fertilizers, insecticides, and fungicides under supervision.
• Operates lawn equipment and maintains groundskeeping machinery.
• Performs routine maintenance of groundskeeping tools and equipment.
• Plays a role in seasonal landscaping tasks and outdoor event setups.
