Job summary

P&K Equipment in Owasso, OK is seeking a Lawn & Garden Equipment Service Technician to diagnose, service, and repair customer and dealer-owned equipment. The role requires basic diagnostics, steady maintenance work, and clear communication with other locations.

The ideal candidate has 1+ year of repair experience, knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems, and a valid driver’s license. You’ll collaborate with the Service Manager and undergo ongoing training in a fast-paced shop

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience performing service repairs.
• 1+ Years experience as a Small Engine Mechanic or Small Engine Technician preferred.
• Ability to perform basic repairs and required maintenance using special tools and equipment following Technical Manual procedures.
• Proficient knowledge of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems used in the repair of turf equipment.
• Ability to use Service Advisor, Microsoft Office applications, and basic computer functions.
• Ability to operate vehicles and equipment used for diagnostic purposes.
• High School Diploma or equivalent experience required.
• Good Safety Habits
• Valid drivers license required.

Responsibilities

• Performs basic diagnostics, service repairs and maintenance work on customer and/or dealer-owned lawn and garden equipment.
• May require some direction or guidance from the Service Manager or Shop Foreman.
• Maintains professional communication with all company locations to insure information flows in an appropriate manner.
• Performs basic lawn and garden equipment diagnostics and determines what repairs are needed, if required.
• Performs basic lawn and garden equipment repairs as requested by the Service Manager/Shop Foreman.
• Participates in all job-related training and development.
• Prepares all reports and forms required in conjunction with work assignments.
• Maintains current product knowledge of John Deere and competitive products.
• Maintains condition of vehicles, inventory, tools, and equipment.
• Maintains a clean and organized work area and practices good safety habits.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
