We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Certified Lawn Care Technician to maintain our clients' lawns, ornamental trees, and shrubs by ensuring they remain healthy, green, and weed-free. The ideal candidate will apply fertilizers, herbicides, pesticides, and fungicides to achieve exceptional results.

Minimum Qualifications

• State of Michigan Commercial Pesticide License: Turfgrass (3A), Ornamental (3B), and Right-of-Way (6) or the ability to earn it within 90 days of employment.
• Education: High school diploma or GED.
• Skills: Ability to work independently and efficiently.
• Driving Requirements: Clean driving record and chauffeur license or ability to obtain within 90 days of employment.
• Experience: Customer service experience in any industry.
• Must adhere to a drug-free workplace policy.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience: 2–4 years in the lawn care industry.

Job Functions

• Apply fertilizers, pesticides, herbicides, and fungicides to residential and commercial lawns.
• Care for ornamental trees and shrubs with fertilizer, pesticides, and fungicides.
• Mix all products according to label instructions and adhere to OSHA safety standards.
• Diagnose and treat lawn and plant pests and diseases.
• Deliver top-quality results in all applications.
• Interact professionally and courteously with clients, vendors, and team members.

Responsibilities

• Follow all state and federal regulations regarding fertilizer, herbicide, pesticide, and fungicide handling and application.
• Load and secure all necessary tools, equipment, and materials for daily operations.
• Utilize fertilizer spreaders, backpack sprayers, and other equipment to complete scheduled tasks.
• Perform final quality checks at each job site to ensure all work meets company standards.
• Maintain equipment in good working condition and notify mechanics of required repairs.
• Adhere to safety protocols at all times.
• Address customer requests or complaints on-site in a friendly and professional manner.
