OVERVIEW

Lawn Technicians perform various landscaping maintenance and snow removal duties (where applicable). They regularly mow lawns, weed, plant flowers, plow snow, remove debris from property grounds, and ensure our communities are well-maintained and presentable. Lawn techs also work to provide quality customer service to residents and guests. We also have full-time maintenance positions!

JOB DUTIES

1. Empty trash, shovel, and perform maintenance or repair duties using blowers, mowers, drills, or other hand tools.
2. Ensure lawns are manicured appropriately. Regularly treat weeds for weed control, weed whip, rake leaves, plant flowers/shrubs, spread mulch/woodchips/stones, trim shrubs and hedges, cut and remove tree limbs damaged by adverse weather conditions, and perform other lawn care services as necessary.
3. Inspect irrigation systems regularly to ensure proper functioning; repair as needed.
4. Pick up trash and debris from common areas and streets daily. Empty common area trash containers as needed.
5. Maintain community equipment.
6. Report all community maintenance issues and concerns identified during daily duties to the manager.
7. Ensure the community is presentable at all times and adheres to Flagship Communities' curb appeal standards.
8. Safely operate vehicles required for job duties.
9. Follow safety procedures while performing duties.
10. Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or some high school education required.
• Previous lawn care experience in the resort/hospitality industry preferred.
• Demonstrated knowledge of and experience in general grounds maintenance techniques.
• Ability to endure seasonal outdoor temperatures.
• Valid driver's license.
• Proficient in operating various hand tools, power equipment, and commercial machinery.
• Ability to provide legible written reports.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to lift at least 25 pounds.
