Job summary

Lawn Doctor in Illinois is hiring Lawn Care Technicians to deliver high‑quality lawn care services. You will fertilize, aerate, apply pest control products, seed lawns, and maintain equipment while providing excellent customer service.

Full‑time and part‑time roles with hourly pay range $20.00–$21.00 and bonuses are available. Ideal candidates have a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, good attendance, and a willingness to obtain a pesticide applicator license.

Job Overview

Lawn Doctor is looking for individuals dedicated to providing high‑quality, customer‑focused lawn care services to join our team as Lawn Care Technicians.

Daily Tasks Include

• Fertilize lawns and aerate lawns
• Apply other regulated pest control products to lawns, landscape beds, trees and shrubs
• Prepare and seed lawns
• Maintain the appearance of assigned equipment and vehicles
• Interact respectfully and positively with customers, the public, and other Lawn Doctor technicians and employees
• Maintain necessary and proper communication with the office throughout the day
• Behave in a professional and courteous manner at all times
• Demonstrate honesty and integrity at all times
• Shop work
• Offer new services to customers
• No mowing

Requirements

• Willing to receive pesticide applicator license
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to operate machinery
• Ability to meet production goals
• Be able to lift in excess of 50 pounds

The ideal candidate for this position has a strong work ethic, is interested in learning and growing, a valid driver’s license, clean driving record, reliable transportation to work, and good attendance record. No experience in the lawn care industry is required, but it is helpful. The right person who is passionate about communications through phone and email and is willing to learn the Lawn Doctor lawn service features and benefits will be well compensated.

Compensation: $20.00 – $21.00 per hour
