Job summary

Lawn Doctor is seeking a Lawn Care Technician to join our team. You will be the face of the brand, delivering high-quality, customer-focused lawn services outdoors and with little supervision.

You will fertilize, aerate, seed, and apply safe pest-control products while maintaining equipment, interacting professionally with customers, and seeking opportunities to offer new services. Valid driver's license preferred.

Qualifications

• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to operate machinery and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Strong work ethic with reliable transportation and attendance.
• Willing to receive pesticide applicator license.

Responsibilities

• Fertilize lawns and aerate lawns.
• Apply regulated pest control products to lawns, landscape beds, and trees/shrubs.
• Prepare and seed lawns.
• Maintain appearance of equipment and vehicles.
• Interact respectfully with customers and colleagues.
• Communicate with the office throughout the day.
• Shop work and other operational tasks.
• Offer new services to customers.
• No mowing.

Position Overview

Lawn Doctor is looking for individuals dedicated to providing high-quality, customer-focused lawn care services to join our team as Lawn Care Technicians. Our technicians are customer-facing brand ambassadors. They treat lawns with top quality, environmentally sensitive products, aerate and seed lawns, perform shop work, and offer appropriate new services to customers and prospects while in the field.

If you enjoy working outdoors; being out on your own with little direct supervision, and would like a chance to change the world one lawn at a time, we’d love to talk with you. Lawn Doctor believes that employees who are given a chance to grow professionally will in turn help to grow our business.

Compensation

Compensation: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour

Responsibilities

• Fertilize lawns and aerate lawns
• Apply other regulated pest control product to lawns, landscape beds, and trees and shrubs
• Prepare and seed lawns
• Maintain the appearance of assigned equipment and vehicles
• Interact respectfully and positively with customers, the public, and other Lawn Doctor technicians and employees
• Maintain necessary and proper communication with the office throughout the day
• Behave in a professional and courteous manner at all times
• Demonstrate honesty and integrity at all times
• Shop work
• Offer new services to customers
• No mowing!

Requirements

• Willing to receive pesticide applicator license
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to operate machinery
• Ability to meet production goals
• Be able to lift in excess of 50 pounds
• Strong work ethic, valid driver’s license, clean driving record, reliable transportation to work and good attendance record
• Actual work experience in the lawn care industry highly desirable
