Job summary

The Davey Tree Expert Company is seeking a Landscape Spray Technician to perform fertilization and pest management on trees, shrubs, and lawns. Work outdoors on private, governmental, or business properties with a focus on prevention and treatment of pests, weeds, and turf health.

You will diagnose issues, communicate with clients about treatments, and maintain equipment. On-site work is standard; driving duties and safety training are required, with full benefits and career growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Must enjoy outdoor work and be physically capable.
• Background in horticulture or landscaping is preferred.
• Knowledge of turf, weed, tree and shrub ID is preferred.
• Must be able to complete Davey first aid, CPR and defensive driving on hire.
• Valid driver’s license is preferred.
• Licenses/certificates related to pesticides as required by state law.

Position Overview

$28-$36 (Based on experience)

Job Duties

What You’ll Do:

• Cultivate your career and fertilize your future!
• Properly identify and diagnose insects, weeds, fungus conditions, and pest prone areas.
• Communicate with and educate the client regarding the diagnosis and the prescribed pest control, aerification, seeding, and fertilization service with customers.
• Continuously monitor lawn quality and fertilizing methods after application and communicate progress to customers and supervisors.
• Drive, use, maintain and properly operate truck and sprayer equipment.

Qualifications

What We’re Seeking:

• Love of the outdoors
• Preferred: background in Horticulture, or Landscaping
• Preferred: Turf, Weed, Tree and shrub ID knowledge
