Job summary

TruGreen is hiring a hands-on supervisor responsible for recruiting, training and guiding a team of lawn care specialists. You will coach staff to exceed customer expectations, reduce cancellations, and drive service quality across routes.

Ideal candidates have supervisory experience in lawn/horticulture services, a business-related degree, and strong leadership. The role requires travel, a valid driver’s license, and a commitment to safety and compliance.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in a business-related discipline and 2+ years of related experience in lawn/horticulture/agronomy/lawn care services.
• 2+ years of supervisory management experience.
• Bachelor’s degree and sales experience preferred; requires extensive local travel.
• Valid, permanent driver’s license; current auto insurance.
• Must be 21 years of age by date of hire.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates the quality of service and develops procedures to minimize customer complaints.
• Coaches and develops lawn specialists and trainees; reduces customer cancellations.
• Recruits, interviews and selects personnel; evaluates performance and administers actions per policy.
• Plans and conducts training for service personnel in customer service, technical skills, safety policies.
• Supervises a team to meet service goals, maintains morale and promotes teamwork.
• Ensures safety and compliance; coordinates information between customers and field technicians.
